How much does it cost to work with MedMyWay?

There is no cost to work with MedMyWay for Medicare or health insurance guidance. Our consultations, plan reviews, and enrollment help are provided at no charge to you.

As an independent insurance agency, MedMyWay is compensated by the insurance companies when a client enrolls in a plan. Your premium is the same whether you work with us directly or go to the insurance company on your own.

Our goal is to help you compare your options clearly, understand the differences between plans, and choose coverage that fits your doctors, prescriptions, budget, and personal needs.

MedMyWay helps with:

Medicare Advantage plans
Medicare Supplement plans
Prescription Drug Plans
Individual and family health insurance

There are no consultation fees, no hidden charges, and no obligation to enroll. Our advice and service are free.

Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage are two different ways to help cover costs that Original Medicare does not fully pay.

A Medicare Supplement, also called a Medigap plan, works with Original Medicare. Medicare remains your primary coverage, and the supplement helps pay some or most of the out-of-pocket costs, such as deductibles, coinsurance, and copays. With most Medicare Supplement plans, you can see any doctor or hospital in the United States that accepts Medicare. These plans usually have a monthly premium, but they can provide more predictable medical costs.

A Medicare Advantage plan, also called Part C, is an alternative way to receive your Medicare benefits through a private insurance company. These plans often have lower monthly premiums and may include extra benefits such as dental, vision, hearing, fitness benefits, and prescription drug coverage. Medicare Advantage plans usually have networks, copays, prior authorization rules, and an annual out-of-pocket maximum.

The right choice depends on your doctors, prescriptions, travel habits, budget, and how much flexibility you want.

Most people become eligible for Medicare when they turn 65. Your first chance to enroll is called your Initial Enrollment Period. It lasts for 7 months:

3 months before your 65th birthday month, your birthday month, and 3 months after your birthday month.

For many people, this is the best time to enroll in Medicare Part A and Part B to avoid late enrollment penalties or gaps in coverage.

You may also be able to enroll at other times, depending on your situation:

If you are still working past 65

If you or your spouse are still working and you have qualifying employer group health coverage, you may be able to delay Medicare Part B without a penalty. When that coverage ends, you may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.

If you missed your first enrollment window

If you missed your Initial Enrollment Period and do not qualify for a Special Enrollment Period, you may need to use the General Enrollment Period, which runs from January 1 through March 31 each year. Coverage generally starts the month after you sign up.

If you want to change Medicare plans

The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period runs from October 15 through December 7 each year. During this time, you can review or change Medicare Advantage and Part D prescription drug plans for coverage beginning January 1.

Yes. MedMyWay helps people under 65 compare health insurance options, not just Medicare.

If you are self-employed, between jobs, retiring early, losing employer coverage, or looking for coverage for your family, we can help you understand your options and find a plan that fits your doctors, prescriptions, budget, and coverage needs.

MedMyWay can help with:

Individual health insurance
Family health insurance
Marketplace health plans

There is no cost to work with MedMyWay. Our guidance, plan reviews, and enrollment help are free.

MedMyWay is an independent insurance agency, which means we are not tied to just one insurance company. We are appointed with almost all of the major Medicare and health insurance carriers in the market, allowing us to compare many different options for our clients.

The carriers available to you may depend on where you live, your county, your doctors, your prescriptions, and the type of coverage you need. Because plan availability changes by location, we help you review the options available in your area and explain the differences in plain language.

Our goal is not to push one company. Our goal is to help you find the plan that fits your needs.

MedMyWay works with carriers offering:

Medicare Advantage plans
Medicare Supplement plans
Part D prescription drug plans
Individual and family health insurance
Marketplace health plans
Non-Marketplace health plans
Dental and vision coverage

Because we work with many carriers, we can help you compare benefits, premiums, provider networks, prescription drug coverage, and out-of-pocket costs before you make a decision.
