Beginning July 1, eligible Medicare beneficiaries with Part D prescription coverage may be able to receive certain GLP-1 medications for $50 per month.
Covered medications currently include:
• Wegovy
• Zepbound KwikPen
• Foundayo tablets
How do you get started?
- Contact your doctor or healthcare provider.
- Ask whether you qualify for the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge for weight management.
- If appropriate, your provider will send the prescription to your pharmacy.
- Your provider will then complete the required prior authorization.
- Medicare will notify you after the request is reviewed.
You must meet Medicare’s medical eligibility requirements. Having Medicare alone does not automatically qualify you.
